SCRABBLE SCRAMBLE TIPS

1) Unlike original Scrabble, no forward planning is possible. So, try to take the highest score available unless it is very likely to give your opponent an even better score.

2) Generally playing a longer word will disadvantage your opponent because he will have less dice with which to play.

3) Unless it will mean you get a good score yourself, try to avoid playing on the edges of the board as that opens up the triple word squares.

4) If a triple word square is open, take it unless you have a much better score elsewhere. It gives away very little to your opponent.

5) Also, if you play onto a triple word square, your opponent will have to accept that his next play will again open a triple word for you or will probably have to take a low score to avoid giving you another triple to play on.

6) Bear in mind that the middle double word score will be available for play again and again unlike in the original game where it is unusable after the first move.
